Found this on our outting to BrickWorks today in Toronto.
Was stuck in a corner and Ange pulled it out for me to shoot it.
Just love the irony that I shot this with a digital camera...
This is an awesome shot....the way it's cropped in a square too...looks awesome and how it's been darkened at the edges...very nice...
I usually don't get all philosophical like this but...sort of shows how traditional wet photography is becoming a lost art form, almost archaic...it's sad really.
i would hang a picture of this on my wall in a heartbeat.. did you shoot it raw? the DOF is nice, but there is alot of noise..
if you can get this film, and shoot it highest quality in controled situation on black backdrop, with a bit of grunge (dirt) spread around it, i would be the first to buy a massive print of it..

Horribly intrusive watermarks are tacky. If you're concerned about people stealing your photos, don't post them on the internet.
Photography is the simultaneous recognition, in a fraction of a second, of the significance of an event. (HCB)
no I didnt shoot it raw and I kinda like the noise. To me it adds to it being a old feeling image like when we look back at pics of when we where kids.. well when I was a kid.
Glad you like the over all image though

I LOVE SHOOTING.... *bang*... er... *click* Ummm with my camera of course...
It reminds me, have you ever heard of The Disintegration Loops...?
This guy, william basinski was trying to preserve these tapes of music before they decayed by putting them into digital format.. but as he worked the tapes disintegrated/decayed causing the music to cut out and cut in and waver..
so the final piece is pretty much like listening to music dying, its beautiful!
beautiful yet tragic. Can't help but wonder what is on that role. Someone's vacation, another artist's work, maybe it's blank and it died before it could have been used for something wonderful. I shed a tear for this film.

The Edge... there is no honest way to explain it because the only people who really know where it is are the ones who have gone over.
- Hunter S. Thompson (RIP)
At the top of the mountain, we are all snow leopards. - H.S.T.
and so it goes; the old is replaced by the new which becomes the old and is replaced by the new....
gee, that could be depressing as hell if you took it personally!
great shot; love the texture, lighting, DoF... the whole darned thing.
i agree, it would make an excellent print!
(... & if it weren't square a pretty cool wallpaper too )
